Gardeners, Plants & Produce Competition

Prize Money/Trophies for Winner & Runner-up in each class. 

Classes 1 to 4 must be presented before 11:00am on Saturday 30th May 2026. (see conditions)

Class 5 (Cut Flowers) must be present before 10:00am for judging on Saturday 30th May 2026. (see conditions)

Classes

  1. Garden Produce - 5 items of vegetables and/or herbs

  2. My Harvest - a collection of at least 5 items of vegetables and fruits. Can include homemade jams, pickles or preserves made from fruits or vegetables grown by the exhibitor in their own garden.​

  3. Junior Gardeners (12 years & under) - 4 items of vegetables, fruit, herbs and/or flowers.

  4. Potted Native Plant or Flower

  5. Cut Flowers - a collection of flowers (one variety or mixed)

CONDITIONS:

  • Classes 1 to 4 must be presented in a suitable container for display and be at the pumpkin weigh-in area before 11:00am on show day.

  • Class 5 (Cut Flowers) must be present in a suitable vase or bowl and be at the craft pavilion by 10:00am for judging on show day.

  • All entries must be homegrown in the region by the exhibitor.

  • Entry in all classes is free.

  • The judge’s decision will be final.

  1. Adults - Heaviest ‘Big Max’ Giant Pumpkin

  2. Junior (12 & under) - Heaviest ‘Big Max’ Giant Pumpkin (prize for runner-up in this class only)

​$50 Incentive Prize drawn on show day from the names of all eligible contestants.

​

CONDITIONS:

  • Entries to be presented for weighing at the weigh-in area no later than 11:00am on show day, Saturday 30th May 2026 for judging at 11:30am.

  • Entries must be ‘Big Max’ (Cucurbita maxima) variety, no other variety accepted.

  • Competition open only to contestant who registered their interest.
